Song Demos

Through the years, we've recorded hundreds of sessions and thousands of song demos for many songwriters and publishers. We use great musicians who have played on hit song demos and on major artists' records. We also use a wide variety of demo singers to fit different needs.

  • Prices for demos can vary from $150-$200 for a simple guitar/vocal or piano/vocal all the way up to $500-$600 per song for bigger productions with lots of instruments and lots of vocals.

  • The average song demo generally includes drums, bass, acoustic guitar(s), electric guitar(s), and piano or keyboards. Other instruments, such as steel guitar, dobro, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, etc. can be added for a small extra charge. It is possible to substitute instruments: for example, record steel instead of piano for the $500 price. Please contact us to discuss the specific arrangements you have in mind.

  • Rates for demo singers usually range from $50/song to $100/song. A minimal amount of backup vocals are usually included for the price. Stacking several parts or other kinds of backup vocals may be extra.

Many of the demos we've recorded have gone on to be used commercially. We recently recorded the demo for "Good Things Are Happening", which was as the theme song for ABC's Good Morning America for several seasons. The song was written by Bill Deasy and Larry Gottlieb. Our tracks were used in the making of their theme and commercials.

We've also done demos for Capitol, MCA, Sony, Warner Bros., Warner-Chappell, BMG, RCA, Asylum, Arista, Universal, Famous, EMI, Almo-Irving, Polygram, Blue Water, High Seas, Hamstein, Curb, Sony/ATV, and many others.

You can hear samples of our demos and projects on our home page, and gallery page. Feel free to contact us to have a sample CD mailed to you.
